GROWN UPS: This is a wonderful opportunity to learn aspects of wool-crafting across a two day workshop
and then take home what you have created.
You will learn skills covering: washing the raw fleece, onto carding, dying, wet-felting and through to spinning. You will also have opportunity to be guided through the fields and along the farm’s hedgerows to learn about foraging for natural dyes.
You will be “site-specific” in one of the barns that actually housed some of the flock during lambing season.
You will have the opportunity to meet and hear about shepherding from the farmers themselves
…. you can even meet some of the sheep that produced the wool!
At the end of the 2 day workshop you will take home what you have made from the skills that you learned.
Location: TS8 nearest towns: Stokesley, Coulby Newham and Middlesbrough
Accommodation: A list of local places to stay can be supplied on request
